Privacy Policy
MyPocketGames (the "App") is a collection of mini games you play on your own: quick-reflex arcade games, puzzles, brain games, and board and card games. It works without an account. Most of your data stays on your device. To show where your best records stand among all players ("top n%" or 1st to 3rd place), the App sends a rounded copy of each best record, linked only to an anonymous ID, to our ranking database; your exact scores never leave your device. Only the purchase service, the ad service (free version only), our usage-statistics and crash-report service and the ranking database receive some data, and the App reads a list of our other apps from our website (section 2).
1. Data that stays on your device
- Your best record in each game, which is also shown on the game's card
- Your Marbles balance (the App's in-app currency), the games you opened with Marbles, and the date you last received the first-round-of-the-day bonus
- Whether Premium is unlocked, whether the Premium gift Marbles have been added, and which Marble packs have already been added
- Favourites and settings: language, dark mode, sound on or off and volume, vibration on or off
- A saved copy of the list of our other apps used for our own ads (section 2)
Except for the rounded best records used for the ranking (section 2), this data is stored only on your device and is not sent to the operator or anyone else. Deleting the App deletes all of it, including your records, your Marbles balance and the games you opened (your device's own backup, such as iCloud, may include it). If you reinstall the App and restore your purchases, the Premium gift Marbles and the Marble packs you bought may be given again (Terms of Use, section 2).
2. Data sent to third parties: purchases, ads, usage statistics and ranking
Purchases: Apple, Google and RevenueCat
The App offers two in-app purchases, handled by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play: Premium (a one-time purchase) and Marble packs (a consumable purchase you can buy more than once). Your payment details go to the store, not to us. To confirm purchases, add the Marbles you bought and restore Premium, the App uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA):
| Recipient | Country | Data | Purpose | When / how | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| RevenueCat, Inc. | USA | An anonymous ID created for purchases, the App Store or Google Play receipt and purchase records (product, date, store country and currency), device model, OS and app version, IP address | To confirm Premium and Marble pack purchases, add the Marbles you bought and restore Premium | When the App starts, and when you open the purchase screen, buy or restore: sent over an encrypted connection | While needed for purchase records, or until you ask us to delete it |
This is a transfer of personal information to another country. The App checks your purchases when it starts, so the anonymous ID and device information are sent even if you never buy anything; no payment details are involved. If you do not want this, you can stop using the App and ask us to delete the data (support@mystudioapps.com). RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Ads: Google AdMob
The free version shows ads: a banner on the home screen and under some games, and sometimes a full-screen ad when you open a game. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC, USA), which receives:
- Device and app information (model, OS and app version, language), IP address (from which an approximate location can be inferred)
- How you interact with ads (impressions, taps) and diagnostic data from the ad SDK
- The device advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, advertising ID on Android): on iPhone only if you allow tracking
Google uses this to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Ads are personalised only if you allow it. On iPhone, the App asks whether you allow tracking after you finish your first game, and you can change your answer any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. In the EEA and the UK, a consent screen appears first, and you can change your choice any time with "Ad privacy settings" at the bottom of the purchase screen. If you do not allow it, ads are not personalised. Premium removes ads. See how Google uses information from apps.
Ads: Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads
The App may also get ads through Unity LevelPlay, a service that chooses which ad network fills each ad slot, and from Unity Ads (Unity Technologies, USA, and its affiliates including ironSource, Israel). Unity receives the same kinds of data listed above: device and app information, IP address, how you interact with ads, on Android information about other apps installed on the device, and the advertising identifier (on iPhone only if you allow tracking). Unity uses it to choose, show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. The same tracking and consent choices apply. When the App does not show ads (for example after a purchase that removes ads), nothing is sent to Unity. This is a transfer of personal information to another country. Unity's privacy policy: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
Our own ads: the MyStudio app list and playable demos
Some ad spaces show ads for our other apps instead of Google ads. For this the App downloads a list of our apps, with their icons and screenshots, from our website (mystudioapps.com/xpromo/feed.json). Some of these ads may be short playable demos of our other apps: web pages from our website (mystudioapps.com/playable/) shown inside the ad. The App tells a demo page only the language and that it is being shown in MyPocketGames; the demo pages load nothing from other companies and collect no personal data. All of these are read-only downloads: the App sends no personal data with them. Like any web request they carry your IP address, which our hosting provider (GitHub Pages, GitHub, Inc., USA) may keep in its server logs for security; we do not receive it. If you tap one of these ads, the App Store or Google Play opens with a tag that shows which of our apps the tap came from, so we can count taps.
Usage statistics and crash reports: Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics
To see which games are played and to fix problems, the App sends the following to Google Firebase (Google LLC, USA):
- Usage events: which screens and games you open, how long you stay and how many rounds you finish, when a round ends and how many Marbles it gives, whether the purchase screen was viewed, Premium bought or restored, a Marble pack bought or a game opened with Marbles (no payment details), and whether ads loaded and our own ads were shown, closed or tapped
- Crash reports: the error, the app's state when it happened, device model, OS and app version
- A random app-instance identifier created by Firebase (not the advertising identifier), language, and an approximate country from the IP address
Your scores, best records and anything you type in the App, such as a game search, are never sent to Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics (for the rounded best records used for the ranking, see the next part). This data is not linked to your name or contact details and is not used for ads. Google keeps analytics data for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days. This is a transfer of personal information to another country; if you do not want it, you can stop using the App and ask us to delete it (support@mystudioapps.com). Firebase privacy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Top n% ranking: Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore
To show where your best record stands among all players (for example "Top 12%" or "1st place") on the results screen, the home screen and the share image, the App uses Google Firebase Authentication and Google Cloud Firestore (Google LLC, USA; the ranking data is stored in Seoul, South Korea):
| Recipient | Country | Data | Purpose | When / how | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore) | USA (ranking data stored in Seoul, South Korea) | An anonymous ID created by Firebase for the ranking (no name, email or phone number; not the advertising identifier); your best record in each game, rounded to three significant digits (for example, 12,345 points is stored as 12,300); the IP address and device information Firebase processes when the App signs in | To count how many players are in each record band and show your "top n%" or 1st to 3rd place | Anonymous sign-in when the App starts; the rounded record when you set a new best record (the first time you open version 1.2.0 or later, once for the best records already on your device); a record that could not be sent is kept on your device and sent the next time you open the App: sent over an encrypted connection | While the ranking is offered, or until you ask us to delete it |
Anyone using the App can see each game's record bands and how many players are in each, but not which band is yours, and never your anonymous ID; only your own device can read your entry. This data is not linked to your name or contact details and is not used for ads or tracking. Deleting the App does not delete your entry on the server, but it can then no longer be linked to your device. This is a transfer of personal information to another country. If you do not want this, you can stop using the App and ask us to delete it (support@mystudioapps.com).
3. What the App does not do
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites unless you allow it (iPhone tracking prompt)
- No access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location. The games are played by touch and do not use the motion sensor
- No chat and no contact with other people: every game is played on your own, against the game or the computer
- Your exact scores never leave your device: for the ranking, only rounded best records are sent with an anonymous ID, and no one else can tell which one is yours
- We do not sell personal information
4. Children
The App is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It is single-player, with no chat and no way to contact other people. The ranking shows only your percentage or place (1st to 3rd), never names. Ads are not personalised unless tracking or consent is allowed. Purchases go through the store account, where parents can require approval (for example Ask to Buy).
5. Your rights and contact
You can ask us to access, correct or delete data related to your purchases, usage statistics or the ranking, or to stop processing it. Data kept only on your device (section 1) is deleted when you delete the App. Contact support@mystudioapps.com. We answer within 10 days.
US state residents
If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, you have the right to know about and access the personal information about you, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. If you allow personalised ads, the advertising identifier and other data sent to Google AdMob and Unity may count as "sharing" or targeted advertising under these laws. To opt out, on iPhone do not allow tracking in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking; on Android, delete your advertising ID in Settings › Google › Ads. If the App shows Ad privacy settings, you can also opt out there. For any other request, write to support@mystudioapps.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If what the App sends changes, we will update this policy first.
